Pixel is an electronic devices brand launched by google. It contains a lot of electronic accessories including mobile phones, tablets, laptops, etc.
Google Pixel phones are made by android and these phones provide you a good software experience without any reduction in working due to disk space issues. Although they are very good devices, you can face some battery drainage issues in these phones.
If your google pixel phone is not getting charged when it is plugged into the charger, you can resolve this problem by using some of the following tips and tricks.
The main focus should be on finding out the root cause of the problem whether the phone is unable to charge or cannot retain the charging for a longer time. Follow the following steps to know whether the fault is in the battery or the charger.
Any malfunctioning in firmware can cause charging issues on your google pixel phone. Firmware is software that provides the device’s hard device communication control on a low level. If firmware software crashes it will make your whole pixel phone in freezing mode including functions of battery.
As the pixel phones do not contain any removable battery so to resolve the firmware abnormality you have to reboot your phone. Press the power button for some seconds and your pixel phone will be rebooted.
Plug the charger:
After rebooting plug your charger into the phone to check whether the problem is solved or not.If still the phone won’t charge follow the next step.
Thoroughly examine the charger or port:
Check your charger connection and working. Sometimes any dust blockage or corrosion can affect the charger’s functioning. Look closely to find any blockage or corrosion. You can simply blow some air to remove any type of blocking material.
Check to work on the charger port. To check the voltage, a multimeter can be used. You can change the port. If still the problem is not resolved follow the next step.
Connect the phone to the computer:
You can connect your google pixel phone to any laptop or computer system to check whether the phone is connecting or not. Take a USB cable and connect it with your phone from one side and with your computer to the other.
If your phone starts charging then it is clear that the phone has no problem by itself but the power adapter is causing the problem. Buy a new phone adapter and try it. But if your phone does not respond even after connecting to the computer then move towards the next step.
Check the charging cable:
Manually check the cable. Sometimes the charging cable is torn from any part and the whole circuit is broken. Slide your fingers on the entire cable and feel for any lump, break, or jerk. You can use a tap to join the tear parts but sometimes it will not work and you have to buy a new one.
Otherwise, clean the whole cable and give it another try, or if you have a separate adapter or charging cable you can also shuffle them to check if the cable is faulty or the charger is.
Clean your phone charging port
Sometimes any dust or dirt collects in the phone charging port and it hinders the charging. You can clean your phone’s charging port by using a toothpick or a small brush. In the last blow air to it to remove any small particles. If you feel the port wet you should dry it with a cotton earbud.
When you are satisfied that the port is clean enough, again try to plug the cable. Hold it against different angles, maybe you get your connection back or it is time to buy a new charger.
